The following FAQs should help answer any questions you have regarding coming to Kay Street for a Sunday morning service.
How do I find the church?
Kay Street Baptist Church is on Kay Street, in Rawtenstall town centre. If you're using a satnav or an online map then the postcode is BB4 7LS. Alternatively you can find a map on our contact page.
Where can I park?
There is free parking available on the street and in car parks nearby. In some car parks at certain times you'll need to display a Rossendale car parking disc which is available free from local shops and businesses. Please check when you park.
How long will the service last?
The Sunday morning service starts at 10.30am and normally finishes by 12.00pm.
What happens in a service?
When you arrive at Kay Street, there will be people to greet you in the entrance and show you where to go. Our services include singing, prayer, notices and a Bible talk. Once a month we have an all age service where the young people and children join us for the whole time. We also celebrate communion once a month where we remember Jesus’ death and resurrection. Please do not feel obliged to join in with anything you don’t want to.
After the service refreshments are served in the downstairs area – you're warmly invited to join us for a brew.
What should I wear?
People wear different things. There are no expectations to dress for church – come as informally or formally dressed as you like. Wear whatever you are most comfortable in.
What will my children do?
We have groups for children and young people, from babies through to 14 year olds. We recommend they take part in these so that you can enjoy the service knowing that your children are engaged in activities aimed specifically at them.

How accessible is the building?
There are ramps to the main entrance. The main worship area is upstairs and can be accessed via a lift or stairs, however not all wheelchairs may fit in the lift. The church is able to offer a stream of the service to the downstairs area for anyone not able to access the upstairs worship area (via request). There is a standard accessible toilet on the ground floor of our building with baby change facilities. Both the main and ground floor worship areas have an induction loop for those using hearing aids. Words for songs and bible reading are projected onto the main screen. There are tablets available for anyone who struggles to see the screen. Please see the Tech desk for support.
